I took Terry's 5-day CCIE DC bootcamp. It was absolutely crucial to passing my lab exam, and a lot of fun to boot. Terry is an excellent instructor who excels at explaining complex topics, while simultaneously keeping his material engaging and relevant. I strongly recommend Terry's courses to my customers, colleagues, and anyone who wants to become a technical expert in networking technologies.

Terry Vinson is a true expert in bridging the gap between vendor theory and real-world practice. His in-depth training combines technical rigor and hands-on experience, empowering engineers to not only understand the concepts but apply them effectively in the field. I had the privilege of attending his CCIE-focused sessions, where he went above and beyond with tailored study groups, extensive labs, and personalized guidance. Thanks to his training, I gained both the skills and confidence to excel professionally. If you’re looking to elevate your engineering knowledge, I highly recommend learning from Terry!
David Martinez CCIE #68397 Senior Network Engineer at NYU Langone Health

I joined SD-Geeks initially for CCIE Enterprise studies and was immediately hooked. Terry’s way of explaining each topic using real world scenarios, his attention to detail, and stellar hands-on labs made his training a real game changer for me. With SD-Geeks, you can be rest assured you’ll learn what you need to not only crush the CCIE exam, but apply these technologies in the real world. I recommend SD-Geeks to any network engineer looking for accurate and in-depth training for SD-WAN, SD-Access, Network Automation, and Cisco Datacenter technologies. Whether you’re on your CCIE journey or your just wanting to sharpen your software-defined networking skills, I cannot recommend this training enough!

I met Terry when I was studying for my CCIE EI through Narbik's bootcamp. Terry taught me the SDN portion of the CCIE, so I know first hand how good of a teacher/instructor Terry is. Terry played a part in helping me get my digits! I have continued with education and have subscribed to Terry's SD-Geeks website. That's cause Terry's teaching style is a different level, the way Terry engages with his students and how he explains the technical aspects of things allows me to understand this straight away. That's down to Terry's teaching style, I can't promise you, you'll pass your CCIE first time. But I can promise you, you'll walk away becoming a SME in no time.

What I've Realized After 15 Years of Teaching

Bootcamps are great but they are too short

Students need longer access to equipment and labs to effectively study, to manage cognitive load and to reinforce learning. Cohorts correct this and allows students to learn from each other and the instructor.

Most bootcamps waste lots of time

Many bootcamps lose precious time bringing everyone up to the same level at the expense of time that would normally be used to teach Exam Relevant topics. This degrades the learning process. Cohorts are a more efficient use of individual and group resources - most notably instructional time.

Self Paced Learning and Labbing is Invaluable

Delivering a curriculum in a way that allows self paced individual work and mentored group work is the hingepin for effective learning and allows time to visualize and reinforce design and design theory. Cohorts offer the ability to explore technologies with access to immediate guidance and mentoring.

Cohorts immediately become a community of like minded individuals that share the same goals thus improving successful outcomes through teamwork

Individuals in cohorts often remain in contact throughout their professional careers and continue to work together to support one another for many years.

Collective learning and discussion often expands learning potential, especially in the context of design.

The CCIE Data Center Learning Cohort is a focused, six-week, instructor-led experience designed for engineers who are serious about converting effort into measurable progress toward the CCIE Data Center lab exam. Rather than relying on fragmented self-study, this cohort provides structured weekly guidance, live technical instruction, and lab access to help you close the gap between theoretical understanding and exam-ready execution.
